1. Cultural Heritage Rehabilitation
Our Foundation aims to support the preservation of Portugal’s cultural heritage by restoring historical assets, particularly in sites of recognized importance that have been abandoned or neglected.
We seek to bring these spaces back to life, transforming them into vibrant community centers that engage local residents, promote civic participation, and revitalize cultural life across the communities.
2.Community Support
The Foundation will work to inform migrant communities free of charge through various digital platforms. These publications will help dismantle stereotypes and promote natural integration by providing relevant information on culture, history, and civic life, expressed through cultural heritage and social activities.
The content will encourage civic participation and foster a deeper understanding of Portuguese customs and ways of life, while also highlighting the cultural contributions of migrant communities themselves.
3. Cultural and Digital Literacy
The Foundation recognizes that education is the greatest legacy and the most powerful tool for empowering young people. With the resources at its disposal, it aims to offer training courses focused on digital skills and personal development, enriching its beneficiaries through initiatives that promote mutual understanding between communities.These programs will encourage shared cultural experiences, strengthening dialogue, collaboration,
and a sense of belonging among diverse groups.To promote inclusion and ensure accessible information, the Lakhani Foundation’s digital platforms will be available in Portuguese, English, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, and Hindi.
